Comparison of advantages of a Limited Liability Company and an Organizatory Unit
Short summary
- Both the LLC and the OU are registered in the Tax Office for Corporate Income Tax and VAT. The main difference consist in the independence from the parental company's property. Whereas a LLC is totally detached from the parental company's property, an OU is considered as a part of the parent company and is interconnected with its property.
- If a foreign legal person decides to cease its business in the Slovak Republic, the OU is easier to wind up, as the strict rules are applied on winding up of the LLC.
